Piano Concert

On December 16th there was a piano concert in Fermilab. There were 9 people playing the piano except my brother and me. I was the first person to play in the concert. And my brother was second. There wasn't so many audience, but I enjoyed the concert anyway.
Nomeda Bach was the teacher of all the kids playing the piano in there. My dad (Timofei Bolshakov) organized this concert. Here is a picture (from left to right) of my brother, our teacher (Nomeda J. Bach) and me.

The medals that are on us are from the piano competition, which was already mentioned in the blog.

Chess Tournament at Benjamin Middle School

There was a chess tournament at Benjamin Middle School. I got the score of 4 out of 5 games and played 2 games on the fourth board, 2 games on the third board and played 1 game on the first board. My brother (Artem) got the score of 2 out of 4 games and played on the board 14, 23, 26 and, 12. Our team (Da Vinci Academy) got first place in Primary (K-3) and Elementary (4-5) divisions. Piano Competition

On Saturday, November 18 2006, there was a piano Competition of only Sonatinas and Sonatas. I played Sonatina, composed by Muzio Clemente. The Competition was in Naperville (North Central College). I got the score 90% (which is a silver medal.) Our teacher Nomeda Bach was there.

Piano

We both take piano lessons every Wednesday, with Nomeda Bach as our teacher. Music is also a major part of our lives. We practice daily, go to piano lessons for an hour each. We sometimes have concerts or competitions. We truly enjoy piano as part of our lives.

Russian

I was born in Russia. I also speak Russian. I am from Novosibirsk (Academgorodok.) I was one and a half when I came to the US. Я умею писать по-русски тоже (I can also write Russian.) I was born in 1998 on Jan. 5th. I am eight years old and I happy with it. Academgorodok is a beautiful place in Russia.

Choir

I go to a choir in my school. My teacher is Mrs. Szillage. We have choir on Mondays after school. Mrs. von Heimburg is the piano player and Mrs. Szillage is the singing teacher. Mrs. Szillage is also the music teacher.
I used to go to another choir during the summer. It is called the Elgin Children's Chorus. Here is a picture of me after the Elgin Children's Chorus concert:

Chess as a part of my life

I go to a chess club in my school. My teacher is Mr. Mikolyzk. He is also the 4th Grade teacher. I also go to a chess club in St. Charles (St. Charles is where I live). I think both chess clubs are awesome. In school there is a little period before classes start, and on Fridays after school we got chess theory and games. Chess is certainly a part of my life!

Chess Tournament. Orland Park - 11 Nov. 2006.

There was a chess tournament in Orland Park at Saturday, November 11 2006 . US Champion and second of GM Veselin Topalov was there - GM Alexander Onischuk. We both won trophies. Here is the photo of us and the US Champion!



Simultaneous games - sure we both lose.
Dennis ( 3rd grade) won all 5 games and took the 1st place,
Artem ( 6th grade) had 2.5 and took 3rd place in K-8.
